Sky Sports presenter Scott Minto has claimed that West Brom are the best team in the Championship despite Leeds United enjoying a great weekend.

Minto admitted that the Whites have endured an amazing change in fortunes in the past week, after picking up four points against Brentford and Bristol City - making the 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest a distant memory.

Minto claimed that despite Leeds having the better weekend, the Baggies are still the team to beat in the division with their four-point gap at the top of the table.

"If West Brom had a great midweek, then Leeds certainly had a great weekend," he said on his personal Twitter account.

"Them winning, beating Bristol City and others dropping points around them.

"First of all, West Brom right now - best team in the Championship. Don't think we can say it's them plus one just yet.

"In terms of Leeds, it's amazing a difference a week makes in the Sky Bet Championship."

Anything can happen in the Championship, we all know that. This time last week everyone was celebrating at the fact that Leeds had dropped points and that Fulham had caught up, fast forward to now, and the Cottagers are three points behind after being thumped by bottom-side Barnsley.

West Brom may be in the driving seat, but Minto may change his mind once again after looking at the run-ins of each team sat in the play-offs.

Leeds only have one top-seven side left to play - Fulham at home. Compare that to the Baggies, and they have four of those teams to come up against. Take nothing for granted though, but the Whites could be in driving seat - whisper it quietly.
