Wilfried Gnonto has been lauded as "incredible" for his movement in the build-up to his goal in Leeds United's 4-0 win over Swansea by Sam Parkin.

The Italy international got an assist for Joel Piroe as the Dutch striker made it 2-0 inside 10 minutes after Crysencio Summerville's deflected opener, and then got himself on the scoresheet with a fine strike before half-time to make it 3-0.

And reacting to the goal while on commentary for Sky Sports Arena (13 February, 20:22), Parkin said it was the movement that made the goal despite the difficult finish that followed.

"The movement is incredible," he said.

Gnonto added a second goal in the second half after a fine counter-attack, as the Whites cruised to victory.

Wilfried Gnonto resurrection at Leeds United is perfect timing

When the season started it seemed like a matter of time until Gnonto would be playing his football elsewhere, away from Elland Road.

Then as the season progressed and Daniel James found form, it didn't seem like it would be too big of an issue if Gnonto were to leave so long as the right offer was made to let him go and replace him.

But since news came out that the player is close to a new contract, and then James got unfortunately injured, Gnonto has gone from strength to strength and is showing exactly why fans and management at Leeds were desperate to keep him last summer.

He looks far more confident than he has done all season right now and his quality in front of goal and in the final third is really starting to shine through, making him part of one of the most effective attacks in the Championship.

If he can keep this form going there is no reason why he shouldn't keep his place in the team when James is fully fit again, but having depth and options is perfect for Daniel Farke as we embark on a hectic period of the season.
