'Seems odd' – Many Leeds fans saying same thing as Whites make early-morning announcement

Leeds United fans have been waiting patiently for news, with announcements expected imminently on three fronts – Marcelo Bielsa's new deal, the new Adidas kit and player signings.

Leeds did make an announcement on Monday morning and while it wasn't any of the 'power three', many fans think it's a sign that bigger things are coming today.

Leeds announced that Clipper is the official training kit sponsor and logistics partner.

It's the timing of the announcement that's led these Leeds fans to think that more news is going to come later on Monday.

The tweet was put out by Leeds at 6am and one fan said, "Starting early, there must be lots to get through today." Another said, "Seems odd to announce something this early on a Monday morning if there wasn’t to be further news today."

We think they might be right. Leeds are very close to signing Wigan striker Joe Gelhardt from Wigan in a deal that could go through on Monday.

The big deal is the new contract for Marcelo Bielsa, though. And, with the Leeds players heading back to training on Wednesday, we think this has to be done in the next couple of days.

The Clipper deal is the first new kit sponsor, with Leeds looking to tie down the front of shirt sponsor before the new kit is released.

Like these Leeds fans, we're expecting a busy week of announcements from the club and we wouldn't rule out a much bigger tweet to come out later on Monday...
