Sam Allardyce is reportedly not going to bring his traditional assistant manager Sammy Lee with him to Leeds United with an appointment close.

According to the Daily Mail [02 May], Karl Robinson will be the one the former Everton and West Ham manager opts to bring in.

Robinson has been the MK Dons, Charlton and Oxford United first-team manager and has known Allardyce for a while.

Fresh ideas?

Managers usually tend to have fixed backroom staff as they've got coaches that have worked with them for a long time.

They take training as per their needs and also know the style of football inside out so can always brief the players during games.

For him to go to a new assistant suggests that we could see a slightly different approach and whether or not that's the right decision, only time will tell.

Leeds have backed themselves into a corner with their performances this season and are left with no option other than a relegation specialist.

Hopefully, he can bring about instant results by tightening up the defence as he's got a point to prove after his last stint at West Brom.

An announcement should be nigh any time and it seems like everything is now in place for things to happen.
