Largie Ramazani to 'drop down Leeds United pecking order' again - Exclusive

Largie Ramazani is a fan favourite among the Leeds faithful, but the second half of the campaign was far from what he would have wanted.

Ramazani spearheaded the title celebrations after Leeds won the Championship and enjoyed a rather fruitful few weeks at Elland Road.

Despite playing just nine minutes in the penultimate game of the season, the 24-year-old scored twice, but it had been a tough period for the Belgian.

Ever since picking up an injury, his game time has been extremely limited, and with just seven starts in the Championship, there will be questions as to where his future lies.

Leeds United need to make ruthless decisions this summer

Ramazani has an abundance of quality, but for one reason or another, Daniel Farke has prevented him from showcasing that regularly, and Paul Robinson thinks the German will have a big say as to whether he has any future at Elland Road.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: "He's a squad player. He isn't going to play every week. I mean, you look at the starting 11 in the Championship, he's not really broken to that.

"He's been an impact player off the bench. And I think going forward, that's where he'll be. In the Premier League, you need a bigger and stronger squad. So, where does that put him? I mean, in a similar place to where he was this season, maybe lower down the pecking order. It depends on his own ambitions.

"He's certainly not a starter in the Premier League, but he's a quality squad player who can change games. And when you look at the domestic cups next year, they're going to need a squad. So it depends on his own personal ambition and where the manager sees him fitting."

Leeds need squad depth in Premier League

Leeds are already hard at work when it comes to planning on the recruitment front, and they must get every decision right this summer.

Not only do they need an injection of quality, but they need players capable of stepping up when needed, and Ramazani has showcased his ability to do just that, at a cost of £9.9million.

Whether he is happy with that being his role is yet to be seen, but the Whites will need to make some unpopular decisions if they are to survive in the Premier League.
