It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

The big surprise in the Leeds United training video ahead of the clash with Fulham on Friday night was Adam Forshaw, who was spotted briefly in his training kit.

However, there was one key player who was conspicuous by his absence.

Patrick Bamford was the player who was missing from the Thorp Arch video, as his teammates were put through their paces.

He hobbled out of the 0-0 draw with Chelsea last Saturday but Marcelo Bielsa had said he should be fit for the game.

Bielsa's actual words were, "He has a knock on his hip that is painful, but we don't think it's going to make him miss the game." [Leeds Live]

That was good enough for Leeds fans to celebrate that he would definitely play, but it perhaps stopped short of being certain.

The fact that he was missing from training is a worry.

Fingers crossed

Bamford would be a doubly big miss if he didn't make the game as Rodrigo was also missing from the video.

Bielsa said that he would likely miss the Fulham game after he picked up a knock in training.

If Bamford and Rodrigo are both out, Leeds would have issues.

It would see Tyler Roberts lead the line but that would leave a hole in the number 10 position.

Pablo Hernandez has seemingly dropped off the face of the earth and it could even see Joe Gelhardt make his Premier League bow.

However, we don't want to jump the gun.

Just because Bamford was missing from training doesn't mean he's going to miss the game. He could be sitting wrapped in cotton wool.

That's the hope but it's going to be a sweat tomorrow now.

We'd have much preferred to see him banging them in past Illan Meslier in training.

Instead, it looks more like a late fitness test that – according to Bielsa – he has a good chance of passing.

We're keeping our fingers crossed.
