Paris Hilton has sent a video message to Leeds United ahead of their EFL Championship play-off final against Southampton.

The Whites take on Saints at Wembley on Sunday, 26 May, with the winner sealing a return to the Premier League next season.

Hilton promises to wear the Leeds jersey while she cheers on the West Yorkshire outfit as they aim to secure promotion.

She said, as shared by the club's official Twitter handle: "Hey Leeds, it's Paris. Just wanted to leave this message for you guys and say good luck on your game this weekend. I'll be rooting for you wearing my jersey."

All or nothing for Leeds United against Southampton at Wembley

Leeds face a high-stakes game against Southampton as promotion is a significant achievement for both financially and in terms of prestige.

For the Whites, this match is particularly crucial after being relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2022-23 season.

The club had spent three seasons in the Premier League and will be eager to make a swift return.

Given the importance of the match, it's understandable that fans might have a sleepless night ahead of the big game.

The pressure and excitement surrounding such a pivotal moment in the club's recent history can lead to heightened anticipation and anxiety among supporters.

Daniel Farke will likely focus on maintaining the team's momentum following their strong performance against Norwich City in the semifinals.

He will be looking to leverage the attacking prowess of players like Crysencio Summerville, who has been instrumental with 20 goals, and to capitalise on the team's solid form throughout the season.

It's going to come down to who wants it more and who's willing to go the extra line and it's undoubtedly bound to be a thrilling affair.
