Pablo Hernandez sends heartfelt message to Leeds fans after Elland Road exit

Pablo Hernandez is grateful for the support shown to him by Leeds United fans even after his days at Elland Road.

The former Whites midfielder has stated that he continues to receive messages from fans after every Castellon game.

Having spent five years at Elland Road, he's built a special affinity with the fanbase and played a pivotal role in guiding Leeds United back to the Premier League.

In an interview with Castellon Plaza, "It was five years in which I connected very well with the fans.

"Now that I have come home I continue to receive that affection and I receive hundreds of messages after each Leeds game of fans who follow Castellon.

"For me it is a pride and I am very grateful because I have felt very loved there."

Wonderful human

Pablo Hernandez the person is just as graceful and elegant as Pablo Hernandez the player.

There's a reason why he's loved so deeply by the Elland Road faithful and it goes far beyond his performances on the field of play.

It's no secret that he loves Leeds and probably still tunes in regularly to watch them play whenever he can and it's refreshing to see a number of Whites fans doing the same for him.

It would be wonderful to see him returning to the club one day as a coach as he's clearly loved by the club hierarchy as well.

He's a model professional and would be the ideal inspiration for the younger players.

We hope he enjoys the twilight of his career in Spain, but hope that we see him back in Yorkshire in a few years.
