Leeds United fans were thrilled on Thursday night as Gjanni Alioksi helped North Macedonia qualify for the first major tournament in its history.

A 1-0 win against Georgia was enough to clinch a place in the finals of the Euros next summer, with Alioski playing the full 90 minutes.

Alioski celebrated the historical win on Twitter saying, "Today we made history! Europe, here we come!"

It continues a fantastic season for Alioski, who made his Premier League debut with Leeds after promotion from the Championship.

Many Leeds fans lined up to congratulate Alioski and the rest of the North Macedonia team, but just as many think the Euros isn't ready for the popular Leeds player. One fan summed this up by saying, "Alioski at the Euros – Jesus."

He's the Elland Road joker, the player who shakes away tunnels, and the finals will definitely be a brighter place for him being there.

Elsewhere, it was heartbreak for Stuart Dallas as Northern Ireland missed out on a place after losing to Slovakia in extra time.

Liam Cooper sat out the Scotland game but will also be going to the Euros after Scotland dispatched Serbia on penalties. That was even sweeter for Leeds fans after Aleksandar Mitrovic missed the final penalty.

But last night was really all about Alioski – here are the best reactions from delighted Leeds fans...
