There have been signs recently that the Leeds United wingers have been starting to hit top form, and they were at it again in the first half at St Andrews.

Jack Harrison created the opening goal in the 15th minute and scored the second six minutes later, and the Leeds fans were left in raptures by the first 45 minutes from the 23-year-old.

For the first, Harrison ran with the ball and shrugged off the close attentions of Daniel Crowley before putting a slide-rule pass into 25-year-old Helder Costa.

Costa still had plenty to do but finished brilliantly into the bottom right corner.

That was Harrison's sixth assist of the season and he added his fourth goal in the 21st minute to give Leeds clear daylight.

There was no room for complacency. Leeds will have had half a mind on the 3-0 lead they gave away against Cardiff and Birmingham got themselves back in the game in the 27th minute.

It was classic ball watching from Leeds and a goal out of nothing for the home side.

That's the way the score stayed at half time, but with West Brom losing Leeds are currently back on top of the league.

There's a long way to go in this game before we can celebrate that properly, though, and Marcelo Bielsa needs to calm his players down and sort the defence out.
