'Naive' – Sky Sports pundit claims Leeds must learn one thing ahead of Villa clash

Sky Sports pundit Nigel Reo-Coker has accused Leeds United of being "naive" ahead of Friday night's Premier League clash against Aston Villa. 

Talking on The Football Show (Sky Sports, Friday, 11.30pm), Reo-Coker said that Marcelo Bielsa's men had to learn how to "see out games" and that if they did that they could move to the next level.

"I think they're great to watch football-wise but I think at times they can be naive," Reo-Coker said.

"I understand they want to play constant flowing attacking football but they have to learn how to see out games, to win games.

"If they can do that they'll be able to take it to another level."

Co-pundit Emile Heskey was more positive saying, "They're fantastic, a breath of fresh air. They're a very very fit team and impose themselves on the opposition."

Wide of the mark

Learn how to see out games? We're not entirely sure about this verdict.

Leeds came from behind in the game against Liverpool and were unlucky not to get a point.

They came from behind in the game against Man City and earned a point.

Leeds ground out a 1-0 win against Sheffield United.

The only game that Reo-Coker could be referencing is the 4-3 win against Fulham, and even then Leeds saw out the game and got the win.

Leeds play attacking football but there has been a shift over the past year for Bielsa to tweak things tactically when winning to secure the three points.

We're not above the side taking criticism but we think this one is wide of the mark.

Leeds won't be changing the way they play and it should actually be seen as a blueprint for how to take on teams like Man City.

Sitting deep and trying to hold on is a recipe for disaster in games like that.
