Daniel Farke has endured a mixed start to the 2025-26 campaign as manager of Leeds United.

Leeds got off to the perfect start against Everton, overcoming David Moyes' side 1-0 in the Premier League.

However, after Leeds fell to a 5-0 trouncing by Arsenal, they followed that up with a penalty shootout defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

Remarkably, some have already called for Farke to be sacked, and Jamie O'Hara has shared his thoughts on the Leeds manager.

Jamie O'Hara addresses Daniel Farke sack talk

There was talk of Farke being sacked by Leeds over the summer, but Paraag Marathe rubbished such reports recently.

The German led the Peacocks to the Championship title last season, courtesy of a late Manor Solomon goal on the final day.

However, there were reports that the Leeds hierarchy were considering sacking the 48-year-old despite his exploits.

Farke has managed in the Premier League before, but was unable to keep Norwich City afloat in the 2019/20 season before being sacked in their 2021/22 top-flight campaign.

While hosting talkSPORT on 26 August, O'Hara spoke strongly about Farke's future with Jason Cundy, while on a call with a Leeds fan who implied Farke could get the boot.

O'Hara said: "If you're gonna do it, you can't sack a manager five games into a Premier League season."

Cundy replied with "Yeah, but there were rumours knocking around last season...", to which O'Hara responded: "Yeah, but they stuck with him.

"You can't go back on that decision five games into the season. It's just Micky Mouse stuff."

Is Daniel Farke sack talk too premature at Leeds United?

Given that Farke has only managed three games so far this season, it is surely far too early to be talking of a potential sack.

Yes, the Whites suffered an embarrassing defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, but it was a night of upsets in the Carabao Cup.

Of course, Leeds should have done better as the German fielded a team capable of beating the Championship minnows.

However, it is the Premier League that the 48-year-old will be taking seriously, and that should be the primary focus.

After six more games, Farke can be judged, seeing as the Yorkshire outfit face Burnley, West Ham, and Wolves in that time.
