'May hate Leeds but', 'Absolute quality' – Some rival fans react to Sky tweet on Bielsa mainstay

Leeds United fans have been saying for a long time that Kalvin Phillips is good enough for England, although it might be a case of be careful what you wish for now.

Sky Sports posted a tweet on Tuesday morning that said Phillips "is in the frame for an England call-up when Gareth Southgate names his next squad."

That was the story that made the morning papers and with Leeds chasing promotion over the next 12 games, Leeds fans might prefer he was overlooked this time.

However, it would be an absolutely huge achievement for Phillips – not many Championship players make the England squad – and would certainly add extra value on his head if Leeds had to cash in.

But it's not just Leeds fans who think he's good enough for England.

There are many fans from opposition clubs, including Wigan, West Brom and Middlesbrough supporters, who think Phillips is good enough to get in the squad, with one saying he is "Better than Rice and Dier, easily".

We think it would be brilliant for Phillips but we certainly wouldn't mind if he just missed out. And then became an England regular while playing for Leeds in the Premier League next season.

There are 12 Championship games to come this season and each one is a cup final. We need the Yorkshire Pirlo for every single one of them.
