Mateusz Klich is reportedly a step closer to sealing his Leeds United exit as the paperwork has been finalised for his transfer to DC United.

According to Washington Post journalist Steven Goff, his work visa is pending after which an official announcement can be made.

Leeds have already announced that the Poland international will be leaving the club with immediate effect.

Via Twitter, Goff wrote, "Paperwork finalized. Klich is now a DCU player. Work visa pending."

Farewell

We can understand Klich's decision to leave and wish him the best of luck for the rest of his career.

It would've been heart-wrenching for him not to have been picked in the World Cup squad for Poland last year.

He still thinks he's got enough in the tank to make it for the EUROs next year and we believe that regular football will certainly get him there.

The Polish midfield looked extremely threadbare in Qatar and Klich will certainly be an important addition to that side on the European stage.

We do not see him having any issues with the visa and an official announcement should be made in the coming days.

The quality of the MLS has been on the rise in the past few seasons and Klich's move there gives Leeds fans a reason to follow the competition ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the States, Canada and Mexico.
