Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca has been gushing over Joel Robles' training videos which have been recorded at Thorp Arch.

Robles, who move to Elland Road in the summer, is yet to make his senior debut for the club, but is putting in the hard yards behind the scenes,

This impressed a number of people in the comments including former Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and Leeds teammate Roca.

Roca wrote on Instagram, "The best."

Good progress

He looks sharp and agile both in terms of his saves as well as movement inside the penalty area.

The way he claims those low crosses and also stops the one-on-ones shows that Leeds have made an extremely shrewd appointment.

While Robles has been signed to serve as the deputy for Illan Meslier, he strikes us as the kind who'll want to fight for the number one role.

This can only be good news for Leeds as it will push Meslier to do even better between the sticks.

The Frenchman is the ideal modern-day goalkeeper and while his place in the eleven is relatively safe, he now knows that he's got a serious contender waiting in line.

A run of bad performances coupled with Robles' impressive form in the reserve games could see Jesse Marsch making a big call between the posts.
