Leeds United legend Jack Charlton sadly passed away this summer but a major new film release is set to send his story out to an even wider audience.

Finding Jack Charlton is directed by Gabriel Clarke (Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager; Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans) and Pete Thomas (Adam Hills: Take His Legs), and was shot on location in Ireland and England.

It celebrates his life as one of the best footballers of his generation but also details his later battles with dementia.

You can watch the trailer below ahead of the film's official release in November.

We've got really high hopes for this film.

The trailer is fantastic and it's got some great recommendations from big names in the game.

Times journalist Henry Winter called it "Gripping, heartbreaking and inspirational".

He sent a tweet out after the trailer's release saying, "Inspiring and very poignant....some unbelievable footage."

Charlton spent his whole club career at Leeds and it was absolutely tragic that he passed away before Leeds were promoted back into the Premier League after 16 years out.

His legacy to Leeds and to the game in general is absolutely huge and we're thrilled that football fans that might not know much about him will get to see the impact he made in his life.
