Jesse Marsch has named a strong Leeds United starting line-up against Cardiff at Elland Road on Wednesday (18 January) in the FA Cup replay.

The Whites managed a 2-2 draw in Cardiff and they should be looking to secure a win at home and move into the next round.

Via Twitter, the Whites have shared the playing eleven for this game with Marsch making five changes from the side that lost 2-1 against Aston Villa in the Premier League in the previous game.

Marsch has made five changes for this game. Pascal Struijk, Brenden Aaronson and senior right-back Luke Ayling have been dropped to the bench, while Liam Cooper and Robin Koch haven't made the squad.

Junior Firpo returns to the side, while Max Wober, Diego Llorente, Sam Greenwood and Rasmus Kristensen also start for the Whites.

First win after World Cup?

The Whites are yet to win a game after the World Cup break, but they have a chance to secure their first win in all competitions if they win against Cardiff.

There have been some encouraging performances in recent weeks. The Whites drew 2-2 against West Ham, while they were solid in the 0-0 draw against Newcastle.

Just when it felt like they are building momentum to get their first win but lost 2-1 against Aston Villa in the previous match.

Leeds United

Marsch is confident that Leeds will turn it around as there are a lot of games left to be played but they need to get a positive win.

Cup games are hard to predict but Leeds must ensure they get a win to boost their confidence.

The Whites have been busy in the transfer market once again, and they have signed two players already. Max Wober has joined from Red Bull Salzburg while Goerginio Rutter has joined from Hoffenheim on a club-record deal.
