Crysencio Summerville's quality of delivery for Leeds United delighted Andy Hinchcliffe early on in the game against Millwall.

The Dutchman swung in an 11th-minute corner that was begging to be converted for the opening goal to leave the Sky Sports pundit raving live on the match coverage for the broadcaster on Sunday (17 September) about the "absolute beauty" of a set piece.

The Whites were unable to convert the "beautiful delivery" but did manage to go ahead within minutes when Joel Piroe converted after a quarter of an hour, after nice build up play from Willy Gnonto and Georginio Rutter.

Hinchcliffe said (12.13pm): "The ball in from Summerville was an absolute beauty. Flat, pacey, any goal-bound contact on that, because of the pace of it, it would have been 1-0 Leeds.

"Beautiful delivery, hard to defend, just couldn't turn it goal-wards."

High quality

Leeds United have come out of the transfer window blessed with some of the best attacking options in the Championship.

While much of the focus was on whether Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra were going to remain, Summerville's future proved to be much less of a concern.

The 21-year-old scored the late equaliser in the opening day draw with Cardiff and then picked up an injury in the same game.

But he returned to the side for the goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday before the international break and was again arguably the most threatening player in the Whites line up.

With Jaidon Anthony arriving from Bournemouth in loan as part of the deal that saw Sinisterra head back to the Premier League after the deadline on 1 September the competition for places out wide is going to be high.

But for now Summerville is probably one of the first names on the team sheet for Daniel Farke as part of an impressive start to the campaign from a personal point of view.
