Andy Hinchcliffe was astonished at Shea Charles' "perfect" corner into the Leeds United penalty box during Sunday's clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

Manor Solomon was quick off the mark, capitalising on a mistake from goalkeeper James Beadle, helping Daniel Farke's side to a 3-0 win over the Owls at Elland Road on 19 January.

Danny Rohl's side has plenty of chances to fire past Illan Meslier during the 90 minutes, with one of Wednesday's most talented players leaving Hinchcliffe almost speechless.

Speaking live via Sky Sports Football [19 January, 12:08pm], Hinchcliffe said: "Shea Charles with the ball in - it's perfect. It's flat and pacy, and the goalkeeper has problems getting there.

"The ball in is just wonderful. With this touch at the near post, anything can happen, and it's all down to the delivery."

Leeds United deal with Sheffield Wednesday threat in Elland Road threat

With Sheffield United defeating Norwich City and Burnley unable to claim three points against Sunderland, it was absolutely vital that Farke's side secured victory at home.

The Owls have been known to cause problems for the Whites over the years, with Leeds only winning three of the last nine meetings before Sunday's clash at Elland Road.

However, with automatic promotion the main aim this season, Farke's side cannot afford to slip up in many more games while their rivals continue to fight for the top spot in the Championship.

The Blades, Burnley and Sunderland are all battling not to be in the Championship play-off spots once the campaign ends, and the Whites will still be having nightmares about their play-off final defeat last term.

All pressure is now on Farke to deliver promotion to Elland Road, and if his side can keep claiming important wins over sides such as the Owls, there should be no issues this time around.
