Newcastle will reportedly be able to sign Tyler Adams from Leeds United at a "significantly lower" price than RB Leipzig's Dominik Szoboszlai.

According to the Chronicle [Page 54, June 9], the now Champions League side are looking to spend under Eddie Howe and have both players on their radar.

However, it seems like the United States midfielder could be a decent option as he can free up Bruno Guimaraes to play a more advanced role.

Set to leave?

If Adams is a cheaper option than Szoboszlai and is Premier League proven, it makes sense for Newcastle to go for him.

He's unlikely to turn down a switch to St James' Park as they'll offer him a significant pay hike and he will also get to play in the Champions League.

Realistically, he did not envisage that would have happened at Elland Road and it was always a stepping stone for him with a bigger move presenting itself.

The Championship is clearly not the level where he belongs and fans will understand his decision for wanting to leave.

Leeds need to try getting the most money they can from his sale as it's pretty evident that he's going to be a man in demand.

The club will hate to lose him but they will have to accept reality and he's perhaps played his final game for the Whites.
