Leeds United are in for an almighty test when they welcome Brentford to Elland Road on Saturday.

The Whites currently sit 15th in the Premier League table, and securing three points against Brentford would give them a huge boost in the relegation battle.

Daniel Farke's side are only three points clear of the drop zone, and West Ham's impressive form means they'll likely need three more wins before they can achieve safety.

Unfortunately, Leeds' next match against Brentford will be an incredibly tough one, with a supercomputer prediction showing exactly why.

Brentford predicted as narrow favourites vs Leeds

The Bees have been phenomenal this season and currently sit seventh in the table with eight games remaining.

Keith Andrews has done a remarkable job, and if Brentford can secure all three points at Elland Road, they'll be in a great position to qualify for European football.

According to Opta's supercomputer, Leeds are set to lose at home again.

  • Brentford have been given a 39.6 per cent chance of claiming the victory
  • Leeds have a 34.5 per cent chance of securing a home win
  • A draw has been given a 25.9 per cent probability of occurring

Leeds have lost just one of their last 16 home league games against Brentford and are unbeaten in seven since a 1-0 loss in February 2015.

However, as they are predicted to lose, their 11-year unbeaten streak versus the Bees at home could come to an end on Saturday.

Leeds are also winless in their last five top-flight games, failing to score in each of their last three. They last had a longer run without a goal in February/March 2022 (four games).

This is why Leeds fans should be hopeful vs Brentford

Although they're not considered favourites, the Whites know that they can stage a comeback against the Bees if they find themselves behind.

Across the last three seasons, Brentford have dropped more points from winning positions than any other Premier League side.

Last time out, the Bees drew 2-2 with Wolves, despite taking a 2-0 lead in the first half.

In the reverse fixture, Jordan Henderson gave Brentford the lead before Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a late equaliser for Leeds.

Four of the last six league games between Brentford and Leeds have been drawn, with both sides winning once each in that run.

It will certainly be a close encounter in LS11, but given the fact that the Bees have struggled to see out matches, Leeds definitely have a strong chance of claiming a positive result.
