Lens midfielder Seko Fofana's summer exit is now a "strong possibility" amid transfer links to Leeds United.

According to Media Foot [10 January], despite the fact that the 27-year-old recently penned an extension at the Ligue 1 club, an exit is on the cards for him.

Barring Leeds, French duo Nice and Monaco are also ready to swoop in for his services over the summer transfer window.

Good acquisition

If the midfield pivot of Tyler Adams and Marc Roca may be appearing a tad stale, signing Fofana would give Jesse Marsch or whoever the manager is a fresh option in midfield.

Stylistically, he isn't like either of the two players which makes him all the more interesting in terms of a transfer target.

He's got an engine on him and is a tireless runner who's best when he's playing in a box-to-box role, constantly looking to get on the ball.

He isn't one who shies away from receiving possession even when he's not having the best of games, which says loads about his confidence.

Fofana is a ball winner too, so can be deployed in a deeper role against sides that are expected to dominate possession against Leeds.

His intelligence even gives the manager the option of asking him to man mark players out of the game and it's no surprise that Paul Robinson has termed his links to Elland Road as "exciting".
