Leeds United starlet Max Dean expected to seal loan move to MK Dons
Leeds United youngster Max Dean was unavailable for the 2-1 defeat the under-21s suffered to West Brom on 16 January.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Joe Donnohue, the striker is expected to reunite with former Leeds coach Mark Jackson at MK Dons.
Jackson recently left the senior coaching setup in order to pursue his managerial career at the League One side.
Via Twitter, Donnohue wrote, "Max Dean was 'unavailable' for selection this evening with the #LUFC U21s forward heavily linked to MK Dons on loan. Expected to reunite with Mark Jackson at stadium:mk this month. The League 1 side are averaging less than a goal per game this season."
Makes sense
Given the plethora of options Leeds have in the final third, it makes sense to loan out anyone who's unlikely to get any minutes of senior football.
Dean's at that level where he could benefit a great deal from playing regularly against fellow professionals rather than reserves and under-21s.
Thorp Arch is known for producing quality youngsters but it's also because they get the desired and optimum amount of playing time.
Dean is a talent in the making and anyone who follows Leeds closely will tell you that they're excited about how good he can potentially get.
Jackson's someone who's worked with him for a while and knows his strengths and weaknesses perfectly and will certainly make him a better player.
Due to Leeds' good relationship with their former coach, it even makes sense to loan out someone else as he could be the ideal mentor for them.
