Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips has delivered a message to former teammate Ezgjan Alioski this morning.

The Macedonian international left Elland Road at the end of last season, despite numerous offers to stay from Victor Orta.

Phillips was wishing Alioski a happy birthday, insisting he missed the "mad man" from his time in West Yorkshire over the years.

Writing on his personal Instagram account, Phillips delivered the message to his former teammate this morning.

"Happy Birthday to my Bro, Ezgjan Alioski," he said.

"Miss you, you madman."

Miss you.

Alioski is one of those names that many would immediately take back in West Yorkshire if given the chance.

The Macedonian fit Marcelo Bielsa's style perfectly, and never stopped running up and down the left-hand side when called upon.

With no out-and-out left-back at the time, Alioski played most of the time last season and would have been a brilliant rotation option in this campaign.

Junior Firpo has arrived, but the Spaniard has struggled with injuries and COVID-19 in the six months since joining from Barcelona.

Phillips is closing in on his return, and no doubt that Alioski will be watching closely over all events at his former side.

Pablo Hernandez is another who has been spotted on Leeds' social media channels across the season, and it really is something we love seeing on a weekly basis.

We can't wait to see more messages, let's hope three points at Everton follow this afternoon.
