Noises have emerged from Bournemouth about a potential permanent move to sign Luis Sinisterra from Leeds United, but according to Graham Smyth, a deadline-day deal is unlikely.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist shared via their live transfer blog [1 February, 15:56] that the deal is not rated likely to happen in the closing hours of the window, despite the interest.

Sinisterra was the subject of drama in the summer transfer window as he sealed his loan move to Bournemouth after the 11 pm deadline, and it had been suggested that could resurface today.

An eventual move could happen

Whether it happens on deadline day or closer to the end of his loan deal at the Vitality Stadium, Sinisterra looks almost certain to be on his way out at Leeds on a more permanent basis.

The drama surrounding his move to Bournemouth in the first place, including strikes, legal issues and the timing of the deal, has likely seen the Colombian burn too many bridges at Elland Road to consider a return next season.

Daniel Farke will not have been impressed with his conduct in the summer and demanded an apology from Wilfried Gnonto when he attempted a similar process to push through a move before nothing materialised.

With a return to Elland Road looking unlikely, a permanent move to Bournemouth certainly seems to be on the cards, but as Smyth shared, any movement on that is unlikely to arrive today, with the deal not necessarily restricted to the transfer deadline.
