Leeds United attacker Jaidon Anthony sent a two-word message after Aston Villa completed the signing of Morgan Rogers on deadline day.

Aston Villa completed the signing of winger Rogers from Leeds' Championship rivals Middlesbrough on a long-term deal (1 February).

And taking to his Instagram account (1 February) Rogers expressed his delight at his dream Premier League move, writing: "Happy to join this amazing club. Can’t wait to get started and play in front of you fans."

Elland Road loanee Anthony shared his response, writing: "Congrats brother."

Premier League hope

It's always refreshing seeing an incredibly gifted Championship talent make the jump to the Premier League and Rogers certainly falls in that category after some stunning displays for Middlesbrough this season.

Anthony is himself a Premier League player from Bournemouth but undergoing a spell in the Championship on loan at Leeds United as both parties dream of making the star turn to the English top flight next season.

It is clear that the Leeds United fanbase have taken Anthony in as one of their own, even if his stay at Elland Road is only until the end of the season and it is safe to assume that the winger is feeling the love from the supporters.

Rogers is an example of a player who's done excellently in the Championship and deservedly makes the step up with a big move and that will be Anthony's hope soon enough.

Leeds United

The Leeds star has undergone a tough past week after the loss of his mother last weekend and he will certainly use that as fuel having already bagged his first goal for the club and he will be hoping it is the first of many between now and the end of the campaign.
