Willy Gnonto appears to be on his way out of Leeds United this summer with Inter Milan willing to re-sign him after relegation.

According to Corriere Dello Sport [29 June, Page 9], the Italian will be leaving Elland Road due to the fact that the Whites will be in the second tier for next season.

Inter are looking to replace Edin Dzeko and potentially Romelu Lukaku and have made contact with Leeds to enquire about the 19-year-old.

Could leave?

It may be hard for him to turn down the urge to move to a Champions League club and back to his native Italy given that Leeds play in the second tier.

Had they been a Premier League team and the new manager promised regular minutes to him, it would have been a different situation altogether.

However, now Leeds have very little negotiating power and may have to give in to the player's demands if he says he wants to leave.

They'll try making a profit from his sale and it remains to be seen how much clubs interested are willing to pay for him.

When it comes to Inter, they're cash strapped and will not find it easy to shell out a decent transfer fee unless and until they make sales of their own.

Leeds fans will surely want Gnonto to stay and there's no good reason to think why the new manager will want him gone either.
