Leeds United will surely count on Dominic Calvert-Lewin to fix their goalscoring struggles in the Premier League.

While Tony Pulis is confident the Whites can avoid relegation this season, he has acknowledged their issues in the final third.

The former Stoke City boss believes the West Yorkshire outfit will be nervous going into the final stretch of the campaign, but hopes Daniel Farke can pull things off at Elland Road.

In the 2025-26 season, the former ex-Everton star is the leading goalscorer for the West Yorkshire outfit, with 10 in the English top flight, but he hasn't found the back of the net in his last five league matches.

Farke arguably needs Calvert-Lewin back in form for the Peacocks to have the best chance of avoiding a drop to the Championship and all eyes will be on the English centre-forward.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin sign not encouraging at Leeds United

Calvert-Lewin made his first appearance for England in around five years as Thomas Tuchel gave the striker an opportunity to prove himself ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The 29-year-old replaced Tottenham Hotspur's Dominic Solanke at around the hour mark in the 1-1 draw with Uruguay, but didn't make much of an impression.

In the forward's 34 minutes on the pitch, he had two shots, with one on target, and missed one big opportunity, as per Sofascore.

Calvert-Lewin wasn't involved much for England, managing eight touches, losing possession twice and completing just two of his four passes in the game.

Speaking on The Managers on 31 March, Pulis said, "Leeds are struggling to score goals at the moment. They'll be a bit nervous. I think Leeds will be okay. They're keeping clean and will nick enough points to stay up. I like the manager there. He's a really good lad."

Daniel Farke to risk fan anger at Elland Road for greater good

Leeds haven't won any of their last six Premier League matches, drawing four games and losing twice.

It looks like Farke is focusing on defensive stability to keep the Whites in the top flight rather than relying on his players' attacking talent.

The two goalless draws against Crystal Palace and Brentford show that the German manager is content with getting a point or a narrow victory in the final stretch of the season, something fans certainly won't be too pleased about.

While the West Yorkshire outfit's style of play may not be the most attractive in the seven upcoming league games, Farke will hope it will work out in the end.
