Crysencio Summerville sent a message to Dan James live on Sky Sports as Leeds United beat Hull City 3-1 at Elland Road on Monday, 1 April.

The Wales international scored the fourth and final goal of the game from long range into an open goal.

Chasing the game at 2-1, Hull keeper Ryan Allsop was ahead for a set piece and James received the ball on the right flank and he came slightly forward before having a crack at goal.

After his interview live on Sky Sports Main Event, Summerville told him (1 April, 22:07): "Unbelievable screamer."

Exceptional from Leeds United, James and Summerville

James' goal against Hull was crucial for him personally after the disappointment of missing a penalty that led to Wales failing to qualify for Euro 2024 just days before.

The weight of that miss would undoubtedly have been on his mind, but his spectacular long-range goal would have helped to ease those nerves and restore his confidence.

The support of the Elland Road crowd would have also played a significant role, providing him with encouragement and backing during a challenging time.

Additionally, Summerville's message to James highlights the camaraderie and support within the Leeds team, showing that the players have each other's backs both on and off the pitch.

James' goal was not only important for Leeds United's victory but also for his own morale and mental resilience in overcoming recent setbacks.

This might just give the side the boost they need to go out there and do whatever it takes to get the automatic promotion spot sealed.
