Leeds United could cancel Jaidon Anthony's loan deal in January and bring back Luis Sinisterra from Bournemouth in the process, according to TEAMtalk.

The two clubs agreed an eleventh-hour loan swap deal for the two wingers in the summer, but neither player has made an impact at their new club with just one goal each so far this season.

And Anthony is way down the pecking order at Elland Road so according to a report (15 December), the duo could return to their parent clubs in 2024 with Leeds looking at potentially cutting it short.

"TEAMtalk also understands that another loan deal being looked at by Leeds is that of Luis Sinisterra and his move to Bournemouth which saw Jaidon Anthony move in the opposite direction," they wrote.

"Neither player has made the impact that either club perceived and TEAMtalk has been told that they could both return to to their parent clubs in the New Year."

Major

Losing Jaidon Anthony wouldn't necessarily be the end of the world in January because he's quite obviously not one of the top options out wide.

Crysencio Summerville and Daniel James are the first-choice options on the wing while Wilfried Gnonto continues to push them, and Daniel Farke has used Ian Poveda in that role too.

Losing Anthony would obviously mean that a replacement would be needed, but if we were able to bring Sinisterra back that would solve that problem immediately.

One issue would clearly be the fact that the Colombian pushed really hard for an exit in the summer, so the likelihood of him being happy about a return would be slim.

It would probably be safer to keep Anthony for the season, but if a better option pops up then it would be worth exploring and Leeds could do worse than keeping their eyes peeled just in case.
