Dan Bardell doesn't think Leeds United will go against Leicester City after winning their appeal against their Premier League.

The Whites missed out on promotion from the Championship last campaign despite amassing 90 points, while Enzo Maresca's side won the league on 97 points.

The Foxes have since been involved in controversy given that the Premier League weren't able to punish them for an alleged breach.

This is because they had already been relegated to the Championship when their financial year ended [Premier League].

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes the Leeds hierarchy will move on and avoid any dispute over this development.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Bardell said: "It's a difficult one. There will be frustration but at some point, you have to let that go.

"Across a 46-game season, Leeds didn't do enough to get promoted automatically despite a really good points haul. They then had the chance in the playoffs but they didn't take it.

"I can get the frustration but at some point, you've got to look at yourselves rather than what is around you.

"I wouldn't think it will be something that fans or the Leeds board will go after too much."

Leeds United called into Leicester City PSR dispute

Leeds supporters may feel mugged off by Leicester seemingly breaking financial rules and getting promoted off the back of it.

They have acted in clever fashion to find a loophole in the rules to get away without any punishment for an alleged breach.

It has to be said that if Daniel Farke's side had maintained their form in the back end of the campaign they would have been promoted.

As frustrating as it is to feel almost cheated out of promotion, there is nothing to be done as there was technically no rule break.
