Leeds United away kit goes on sale on Adidas site ahead of official club announcement

Leeds United haven't done brilliantly with announcements this summer and it looks like they've engineered another cock-up.

Adidas put the Leeds away kit on sale on Friday morning, despite the fact that it's not been officially announced by the club.

The appearance of the kit isn't a big surprise – it was leaked online a few weeks back – but this is the first 'official' release and hi-res images of the striped shirt.

The shirt was quickly listed as 'Sold Out' on the site and we imagine that Leeds will be making an official annoucnement of their own very shortly.

Someone, somewhere has messed up with this.

It doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, but it's not the first time this summer Leeds have been beaten to the punch over a big announcement.

Main shirt sponsors SBOTOP were announced on a small Isle of Man radio station before an official announcement quickly followed.

Back to the shirt, though, and we absolutely love the kit. It seems to be going down well with the fans, too, although everyone was surprised to see it pop up in the Adidas store today.

MOT Leeds News columnist and former Leeds star Paul Robinson is a big fan, too, saying, "It's absolutely fantastic... A real touch of quality and a nod to the club's history."

We think it will be on sale very shortly, after a hasty Leeds announcement, and can see it being a very big seller.
