Beto has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds United from Everton.

Sebastian Bornauw became the latest addition at Elland Road, joining from Wolfsburg, though Leeds still have a remarkable amount of work left to do in preparation for their return to the Premier League.

Signing a striker will be a priority, as will a goalkeeper, and Daniel Farke will almost certainly be intent on bolstering his squad wherever possible in the coming weeks.

In regard to addressing the former, a deal for Nikola Krstovic is looking unlikely, though a deal for Beto could start to accelerate.

Everton close in on new striker

Beto has been linked with Leeds this summer, with it claimed that the forward could cost in the region of £30million.

Leeds have already been mooted as a potential landing spot for Dominic Calvert-Lewin after his Merseyside exit, though Beto could prove to be the one that makes the move instead.

The Toffees are closing on on the signing of Therino Barry from Villareal, which will do nothing but push Beto back to the bench under David Moyes.

At his age, regular football will be a priority, and Leeds would be able to offer him that under Farke next season.

When Barry's move is confirmed, there is every chance that Everton will give the go-ahead for Beto to seal an exit, and the Whites may look to take advnatage.

Leeds cannot afford any errors this summer

Surviving in the Premier League is a task that has seen many of the newly-promoted teams fall at it, though it is one that the Whites will need to overcome next season.

However, any errors in judgment when it comes to recruitment will hamper that, showcasing just how crucial these next few weeks will be.
