Leeds United players created havoc during their celebratory parade after sealing the Championship title against Plymouth at Home Park.

Leeds ventured south on Saturday (3 May), in the knowledge that a win would result in silverware.

The 2-1 victory was hard fought after Plymouth took the lead following a Sam Byram own-goal, Will Gnonto equalised early in the second half before Manor Solomon slammed it home in the final minutes.

Leeds United celebrate Championship title

Leeds' celebrations have already caused turmoil after the bench went wild at Home Park as Solomon curled in Leeds' winner.

The party continued at the Whites' celebration parade on Monday (5 May), with Joe Donnohue sharing footage via his personal X account in which Leeds players are seen cheering on top of a bus, frantically received by a sea of blue and yellow, as fans celebrate on the streets.

Alongside the video, Donnohue wrote, "Madness."

Daniel Farke deserves to guide Leeds into the Premier League

The most important aspect of Leeds' season was securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

However, winning the Championship title, in what ended up as a tight race, demonstrated the unrelenting mentality the Whites showed all season.

Farke was the brains behind Leeds' success this season, and the 49ers have made the right call by confirming that they will stick by the German.

It is understandable why the Leeds bosses might have been tempted to replace Farke for the upcoming season, but as Leicester City and Southampton have shown, changing managers does not always guarantee Premier League success.

Leeds fans will hope the 49ers invest heavily in the summer transfer window to avoid relegation, and in a boost for them, transfer plans are on the verge of being finalised with meetings planned over the next few weeks.

While it will be a tough ask for Leeds to compete in the Premier League, who better to lead them than the man who pulled them up to begin with?
