Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne sang the praises of Leeds United loanee Manor Solomon before the two players met on international duty.

Belgium went head-to-head with Israel on Friday 6 September, with the former taking a 3-1 victory and the aforementioned De Bruyne scoring two of the goals against Solomon's side.

The 25-year-old has hit the ground running since arriving at Elland Road from Tottenham, and it seems his performances since coming to England have been noticed by Man City's superstar.

Speaking ahead of the Nations League clash via One on Friday (6 September), De Bruyne said: "I know Manor Solomon from the Premier League with Fulham and Tottenham, and now he's moved to Leeds. He has the qualities to play at these levels - he's a great player."

There are absolutely no doubts over Solomon's ability, especially after his spectacular debut against Hull City, but it is a very different thing to be praised by one of the Premier League's biggest stars.

While the Israeli forward was unable to stamp his mark against the Belgians, Leeds fans will have loved seeing him play and, hopefully, return to Elland Road without a scratch.

He already looks to be an important part of Daniel Farke's set-up, linking well with Wilfried Gnonto, Mateo Jopseh and Brenden Aaronson, which could be important based on the injuries so far.

Both Dan James and Patrick Bamford have seen limited time on the pitch due to separate injuries and Solomon looks to be the perfect replacement for the duo in the final third.

The 25-year-old delivered a telling cross for Joseph's opening goal in the 2-0 win over Hull City, opening his account with the Whites early, and he will be expected to produce more of that throughout the season.

If Leeds are to secure promotion to the Premier League at the second time of asking, Farke needs all of his stars firing on all cylinders at Elland Road - Solomon among them.
