Jurgen Klopp could expose bizarre Anton Stach contradiction after Leeds United rise
Jurgen Klopp has reached an agreement to become the new Germany manager.
One of those who could be set to benefit, is Leeds United midfielder Anton Stach.
The German signed from TSG Hoffenheim last summer, before he embarked on a superb debut year in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old scored five times and laid on three assists in the league, operating across multiple midfield roles.
Despite his strong form, Julian Nagelsmann chose to look the other way for his World Cup squad, even with Stach's fitness not being an issue.
And after the latest reports on Klopp, the Whites midfielder could be set to announce himself to his nation.
Has Anton Stach been recognised in Germany after Leeds breakthrough?
Stach has been involved in the national setup before, and was recognised across the Bundesliga - particularly in his final year at Hoffenheim.
However, he is still somewhat unknown by the general public, with his lack of selection not quite sparking the same uproar that followed Nagelsmann for not starting Deniz Undav.
But, he is often mentioned in German media circles, with outlet Ran mentioning his name as a man to benefit from Klopp's appointment.
"The name Anton Stach is also relatively unknown in Germany. The son of legendary Ran commentator Matthias Stach is one of the best central midfielders in the English Premier League - at least considering he plays for relegation-threatened Leeds United," read the article.
"Stach is not only strong in tackles and passing, but also has a decent long-range shot. In addition to three assists, he also scored five goals, all from distance."
As a result of Nagelsmann's decisions, Stach does remain an unknown to the more casual fans of the Nationalelf.
With a new manager in charge, one closely associated with the Premier League, now may be the time to finally put that behind him - exposing another poor decision made by Julian Nagelsmann.
Despite being recognised as one of the best in England, he remains unknown at home, and that remains the fault of the previous boss.
Anton Stach to be part of Leeds group rewriting perception
As seen in the work from German outlet, Ran, Stach plays for "relegation-threatened Leeds United."
Of course, this is not necessarily untrue, given the fact that the instant goal after promotion was always going to be survival. But, the fact that Leeds survived at a relative canter was never going to be picked up overseas.
The next step for both Stach and the Whites, is to alter that perception.
In the coming years, the West Yorkshire outfit will aim to be a side looking much higher than that, and Stach is someone who has proven capable of aiding this journey.
Across multiple roles in the midfield and backline, the 27-year-old stood out like a sore thumb at times last season, earning his praise.
And Leeds embark on that journey, Stach's perception back home will only improve by playing in a side deemed more than just 'relegation-threatened.'
