Junior Firpo has become a much-loved figure at Leeds United despite a disappointing start to life in West Yorkshire.

The 28-year-old struggled to settle into life at Elland Road after arriving from Barcelona in 2021, but fast forward to today and the left-back is two games short of a century of appearances.

That does not mean that his time with the Whites has not come with its frustrations, with his latest ban from the FA clearly getting on Daniel Farke's bad side [Graham Smyth].

Farke was forced into a change for the 2-0 win over QPR on Saturday 9 November, with Sam Byram coming into the side for his third league start of the campaign, and Leeds might be looking to replace him entirely.

According to TBR Football, Leeds are keeping a close eye on Gent's Archie Brown, who could be in line for a return to England after coming through the Derby County academy.

Leeds United to replace Junior Firpo with Archie Brown?

Ordinarily, transfer rumours at this point in the season would hold little bearing, but with Firpo in the final year of his contract at Elland Road, it could mean a lot more for the full-back.

Having already admitted that he doesn't know what his future holds [Yorkshire Evening Post], fans may already be getting themselves excited about the club signing a talented full-back soon.

Brown, who has cemented his spot in Gent's starting XI and gained plenty of experience in the Europa Conference League since leaving England, could be an interesting addition.

At just 22 years of age, Brown is an extremely attacking full-back, and while his stats suggest an improvement can be made, he could be moulded into a Farke player.

If Firpo is yet to sign a new deal at Elland Road, Leeds need to start planning for life without the Dominican Republic international as this could be his final season in Yorkshire.
