Leeds United will reportedly not be considering a fresh move for Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara in the January transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk journalist James Marshment, while reports are suggesting that Gers are open to selling the player and Aston Villa could look to sign him, the Whites are not longer in the queue.

This is because they signed Tyler Adams and Marc Roca in the summer and are not actively on the hunt for new midfielders.

Rangers

Not needed

Kamara has been extremely inconsistent for Rangers in the recent past and has struggled to establish himself as a regular in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's first team.

He has been criticised for going missing in big games and if he's not able to perform in the SPFL regular then the Premier League is definitely going to be tougher for him.

Leeds can sign him to add to their strength in depth especially as it looks like Mateusz Klich may be out of the club sooner rather than later.

However, any deal for Kamara is not going to be a cheap one and is likely to cost the Whites eight figures to complete - something they may want to avoid for a squad player.

The Scottish Sun reported on 1 September that Rangers wanted £10million to part ways with him on transfer deadline day.

Now, if more clubs are keen on signing him, it will surely sky-rocket his valuation and Leeds are better off avoiding this bidding war.
