Jonathan Buchan surprised by what he saw online about Gabriel Gudmundsson controversy in Leeds v Man United
Gabriel Gudmundsson found himself at the centre of controversy in Leeds United's draw with Manchester United.
The Whites played out a 1-1 draw against their fierce rivals at Elland Road on Sunday.
The Red Devils led at the break after Bryan Mbeumo side-footed home from Youri Tielemans' low centre.
But Leeds levelled early in the second half through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who finished from Tarik Muharemovic's knockdown.
Gudmundsson was booked for a challenge on Amad Diallo in the opening period by Darren England.
And BBC Radio Leeds commentator Jonathan Buchan was surprised by reaction he saw when flicking through social media to the incident.
Jonathan Buchan disagrees with Match of the Day pundits on Gabriel Gundmundsson incident
Buchan was speaking on the Don't Go To Bed Just Yet podcast, and asked Adam Pope and Simon Rix if they thought it was a red card.
He explained how he had been scrolling through his phone and saw Shay Given and Dion Dublin reacting to the challenge.
But Buchan disputed this take, saying that "two wrongs don't make a right" and that he felt neither challenge was worthy of a red.
He said: "Should Gudmundsson have been sent off? I was surprised when I went on my social media and saw that little clip of Match of the Day of Shay Given and Dion Dublin analysing his tackle.
"He got a yellow card for it at the time, I think live in the moment none of the three of us called it as a yellow card, then we saw the replay and said 'oh yeah, that's why that's been given'.
"But because Sessegnon had been sent off for similar the day before, they all said on Match of the Day well Gudmundsson should have been sent off for that one.
"Two wrongs don't make a right for me, I'm not sure Gudmundsson's was a red card, I'm not sure that Sessegnon's was a red card either the day before.
"They're not nice tackles, they're not good tackles, they're late, they're clumsy, the more you see them in slow motion, the worse they look."
Has there been an overreaction to Gabriel Gudmundsson controversy?
At full speed, it looked merely as though Gudmundsson had tugged on the shirt of Amad to stop him getting away.
It was only on the replays that it became evident Gudmundsson caught the Achilles of Amad.
Why this is still being debated now is a little bit flummoxing, because let's be honest, it wasn't a red card was it?
He did catch him, it probably is a yellow card by today's standards, but we really don't need to be calling for red cards so that.
Let's all just move on, eh?
