Daniel Farke has made one change to his Leeds United XI as they prepare to face Burnley in a promotion six-pointer.

Leeds United face promotion rivals Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday (27 January) and Farke has kept alterations to a minimum following the 2-0 victory over Norwich City last week.

As confirmed via Leeds' X account [27 January], Ilia Gruev is in for Joe Rothwell, who drops to the bench, with Joel Piroe starting up front for the Whites.

Aside from the change in midfield, it is as you were from the Whites' victory against the Canaries.

Leeds United need a win v Burnley

If Leeds can avoid defeat, it will still be a huge result for the Whites but a win would be absolutely huge for their push for automatic promotion.

As things stand heading into the game, Leeds have a three-point cushion on Burnley that could be extended to six.

With the Clarets still to play Sheffield United, it could be a huge result in the promotion race.

It would also put them four points above Sheffield United after the Blades lost 3-0 to Hull City in a shock defeat at Bramall Lane on Friday (24 January).

However, a win will not be easily achievable against one of the best defences the Championship has arguably ever seen.

Scott Parker's side have conceded just nine goals so far this season, and if Leeds are to change that, they will need to be at their best.

It promises to be a fierce encounter that could be decided by one moment of quality.
