Jayden Lienou chance beckons after Wales announcement on Leeds United teen
Leeds United youngster Jayden Lienou will once again be in contention for his senior Wales debut on Sunday evening.
The 18-year-old has already been included as part of senior Leeds squads, without yet being used by Daniel Farke.
Still aged just 18, it is clear the left-back is very highly thought of at Thorp Arch.
Craig Bellamy called up the teenager for the first time at the end of last season and likewise for Cymru's four autumn fixtures.
Lienou has often dropped out of the extended matchday squads that are lodged to UEFA on the day of each game.
However, that is not the case this time around.
Jayden Lienou makes Wales cut for Denmark clash
Wales face a massive UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark in Cardiff on Sunday.
After picking up a surprise 2-1 comeback win over 10-man Norway on Thursday, Wales now have a chance to climb off bottom spot in Group A4.
Bellamy has not been afraid to use younger players in what is a transitional period for Welsh football.
And it was confirmed on Sunday morning that Lienou will be part of the 23-man matchday squad, with Rhys Norrington-Davies dropping out.
Teams can make five substitutions, so Lienou will have his fingers crossed his big chance arrives against Denmark in the Welsh capital.
Which other Leeds players are in international action on Sunday?
Lienou is not the only Leeds player in the Wales squad, of course, as Ethan Ampadu and Daniel James are also set to start.
James was superb in Wales' win over Norway in form Leeds fans will hope he can carry over when club football resumes.
However, those are the only Leeds players that will be in action on Sunday.
Anton Stach's Germany take on Greece, but the midfielder was only part of the squad for the first two games of the international window.
Jurgen Klopp named a bloated group, with two separate squads for the first two and second two games, with Stach part of the former.
That is therefore one less problem for Farke to contend with.
