Daniel Farke could have no choice but to axe Jayden Bogle from the Leeds United starting XI against Cardiff City on Saturday (21 September).

The 24-year-old has received mixed reviews since making his £5million move from Sheffield United this summer [Yorkshire Evening Post], with Farke desperately needing to find cover for Archie Gray.

His performance during the 1-0 defeat to Burnley was certainly not his finest in a Leeds shirt, having been criticised for his "slow" reactions as he failed to stop Luca Koleosho from opening the scoring [Sunday Mirror].

After Manor Solomon's unfortunate slip at Elland Road, the Clarets were handed a golden opportunity to smash the ball past Illan Meslier, especially with Bogle failing to close down the attacker.

With Sam Byram capable of deputising on either flank, Farke has a difficult decision to make before facing bottom-of-the-league Cardiff, who are yet to win a league game this season.

Daniel Farke to drop Jayden Bogle in Leeds United v Cardiff City?

Farke is already feeling the pressure at Elland Road as the Whites aim for Premier League promotion, with Graham Smyth admitting the manager's future no longer feels "as certain as it once did" [Yorkshire Evening Post].

With this in mind, the German may feel the need to switch things up against Cardiff, which could see Bogle axed from the starting lineup.

Leeds are currently three points outside of the Championship play-off spots after five matches, with a five-point gap emerging between them and West Brom at the top of the table.

Not only would a slip-up against the league's worst-performing team push Leeds further away from the title, but it would just add to the pressure Farke is currently under at Elland Road.
