James Maddison has sent a message to Manor Solomon after he helped Leeds United to a huge 4-3 win against Swansea on Sunday.

The Tottenham loanee scored his first two goals for the club on 24 November, helping the Whites to the top of the Championship.

Maddison was left wowed with Wilfried Gnonto and an own goal by Ben Cabango sealing all three points for Daniel Farke and Leeds.

Responding via the comments on Instagram, Maddison said: "What a player."

Solomon will have been the first to admit that he has not been good enough recently, but this was exactly what he needed at the right time.

Farke surprisingly selected the Israeli winger after a successful international break, and he was repaid for that decision with two perfect goals.

Gnonto, who he replaced, also ended up scoring the winner so all-round it was a perfect afternoon for the German, who has been questioned for some decisions recently.

Maddison was clearly watching on his birthday weekend, and he is in top form himself after scoring twice for Tottenham in their huge 4-0 win over Manchester City on 23 November.

Solomon did the exact same and with Largie Ramazani also back on the bench following injury, this is a message about just how dangerous Leeds are going to be from now on.

The rest of the Championship has been put on notice and despite looking slightly fragile at the back, that is a one-off that will be looked at before the Luton clash on 27 November at Elland Road.

What a win.
