Leeds United fans will have been calling for Patrick Bamford to make his England debut against Hungary last night.

The Three Lions cruised to a 4-0 victory in Budapest, but Gareth Southgate held back from bringing the striker off the bench.

Ian Wright has had his say on the matter and has called for Bamford to be started against Andorra over the weekend.

Speaking on ITV after the clash last night, Wright admitted that it would be a "perfect" moment all around for Bamford.

"I'd love to see Patrick Bamford," he said.

"The season he did have, he was very unfortunate. It would be the perfect game to play him in, I thought he could have got some minutes tonight."

Get him in.

We have to admit, we were also very surprised that Bamford didn't get the nod off the bench last night.

Harry Kane may captain the side and also scored, but he hasn't had the smoothest of starts to the season.

After the transfer saga with Manchester City, he was left out by Spurs at the start of the campaign and can't be at 100% yet, but he played the full game.

Bamford will have been itching to be unleashed as the game opened up and more goals were scored in Budapest.

The Whites talisman now has the perfect chance against Andorra, with a five-point gap separating England and the rest of their group.

Southgate has to give him a chance, and as Wright suggests, there is no better time than this weekend.
