Leeds United finally sealed the long-awaited signing of Daniel James last weekend from Manchester United.

Whites fans got to see their new man in action earlier than expected, as he lined up for Wales against Belarus yesterday.

James played the entire 90 minutes and assisted the winner as Wales came away with a 3-2 victory on a difficult afternoon.

Ian Wright was one of those blown away by what he saw, and waxed lyrical of his talents live on ITV on Sunday.

"I’ve got to say, Daniel James, his output today with his tackles, his interceptions, creating chances," he said.

"I'm very excited to see how he’s going to get on at Leeds. It was a very, very good performance from him.

"He’s so willing, he’s a willing runner, he never stops working. Today, the take-ons. He had the most take-ons today, creating, working back, interceptions."

Relishing.

Marcelo Bielsa will be watching on and he won't be able to wait to get his hands on James and transform him like he has done so many times before.

Jack Harrison is the perfect example, just like James, he sometimes struggled with his final product and consistency in the final third.

If the Welsh international can become a constant fixture at Elland Road, we should have three electrifying wingers all capable of chipping in with goals and assists at any moment.

There have already been claims suggesting that James wasn't good enough for Old Trafford, but after starting two of three opening games of the season, maybe those across the Pennines thought differently.

With Liverpool coming to town on Sunday, James will have the chance to make a major statement, we're confident he can do just that.
