Hwang Hee-chan is set to leave Wolves this summer, with Leeds United unlikely to revive the interest they showed in him last year, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

His likely exit comes as Wolves face Financial Fair Play issues, with the Molineux outfit keen to balance the books.

The striker is reportedly attracting interest from both the Premier League and clubs in Italy.

“Wolves striker Hee-Chan Hwang is heading for the exit - with Premier League and Serie A interest,” according to Nixon.

“The South Korean attacker is one of those Wolves would sell at the end of the campaign to balance the books as they face FFP issues.

“Wolves priced Hwang out of a move to Leeds a year ago but that interest has faded and the valuation may also be reduced this time.”

Fading interest

Leeds may have been interested in Hwang once upon a time, but they seem unlikely to revive that interest given his current struggles at Wolves.

Finding the back of the net has been a real issue for the South Korean, and he may be seeking a new challenge outside of England in order to get his career back on track.

The Whites certainly need plenty of new faces ahead of the new campaign, regardless of whether they will be playing in the Premier League or the Championship.

If it is the latter, a move for Hwang will definitely be off the cards. Despite his issues in the top flight, he is seemingly not going to be satisfied with a job in the second division.

Wolves are one of a number of clubs facing financial issues, but offloading the likes of Hwang will definitely help ease those options, with the club likely to have a handful of suitors lining up for his services.
