Hull City cool pursuit of Leeds United-linked Vedat Muriqi

EFL Championship side Hull City have reportedly cooled interest in Leeds United-linked Lazio striker Vedat Muriqi.

According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A giants want to cash in on the 27-year-old centre forward this month.

Along with Leeds, West Brom are also keen but Hull are believed to have cooled their interest in his services.

Renowned Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who's amassed over 500k Twitter followers, claims that the Tigers have already lined up an alternative and are no longer going to pursue the services of the Kosovo international.

Leeds have been linked with attackers this month and while they could do with a player of his calibre, he's believed to be a tad expensive.

Corriere della Sera have claimed that he will be available for a loan-to-buy deal worth £8.6million.

For that sort of money, Leeds can surely aim higher and not look for a striker who's being shipped off by his club in January.

Ideally, Marcelo Bielsa would prefer someone who also plays as a winger as his teams are extremely fluid and the players are required to be versatile.

Muriqi, unfortunately, isn't that and at 27, is unlikely to learn a new position that easily.

If we were Victor Orta, this would be one we would avoid at all costs as he's clearly not worth what his supposed valuation is being claimed to be.
