EFL on Quest pundit Nathan Jones has heaped praise on Leeds United playmaker Pablo Hernandez after his role in the 1-0 victory against Reading.

Hernandez scored the winner in the second half at Elland Road, poking home after having three bites of the cherry to strike home.

The former Stoke City boss admitted that it will be vital for Marcelo Bielsa that he keeps the midfielder fully fit in the promotion push with 12 games left to play.

Jones pointed out Hernandez' ability to create something from nothing at Elland Road, and that summed up his goal perfectly.

"They create so many chances, they play in such a way, but they don't convert as many chances as they create," he said during EFL on Quest.

"Hernandez is the one that gives them something out of nothing, not a talisman but a little, real bit of quality, and I think it's vital that he stays fit."

The 33-year-old was everywhere against Reading and was certainly the Whites' biggest threat in the final third to Mark Bowen's side.

Hernandez had six shots on goal according to WhoScored and also completed the third-most passes on the pitch with 58 - only Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling completed more.

There is no doubting his influence in the heart of this Leeds side, and we all know that a fully-firing Hernandez could be the difference between finishing in the top-two or the play-offs.
