'Have the three points Leeds', 'Horrible news' – These Nottingham Forest fans fume at Fri update

Dave is a huge Leeds fan and ardent disciple of Bielsa ball. A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Nottingham Forest fans are convinced they're going to be struck by the curse of the Manager of the Month award as they prepare to host Leeds United on Saturday.

The EFL announced Sabri Lamouchi as the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the month for January as he's guided his side to within four points of the top two.

Marcelo Bielsa was awarded the November Manager of the Month award after a brilliant run.

Since then they've only won four of the last 12 and two of the last 10 games across all competitions.

Now there's obviously no such thing as a Manager of the Month curse (or is there?), but that hasn't stopped Forest fans fearing the worst on Twitter.

They were unbeaten in January with a 1-0 result against promotion rivals Brentford the standout.

However, they lost their first game in February against Birmingham last week and face a Leeds side in desperate need of a win on Saturday.

Plenty of Forest fans are hating the fact that Lamouchi was unveiled as the man on Friday morning and while we don't officially believe in curses, we're happy to take any advantage we can for tomorrow's huge game...
