Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is out of the game at Elland Road on Wednesday night with an injury – and it's the Leeds United fans that are gutted.

Pickford has not had a great season and has been dropped already by Ancelotti, with Robin Olsen stepping up last time he was out and keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Leicester back in December.

Olsen will likely be between the sticks tonight as Leeds play on their new pitch for the first time.

Pickford has made a few mistakes recently, notably for the second Callum Wilson goal against Newcastle on Saturday.

Pickford is a good shot-stopper but his all-round game is surely now jeopardising his spot in the England team for the delayed Euros this summer.

And these Leeds fans are convinced that his absence on Wednesday helps Everton more than it does them.

It was a battle of the keepers last time the two sides met, with Illan Meslier winning out with the WhoScored man-of-the-match award.

Pickford, typically, had a great game against us, getting the second-highest rating of any of the Everton players as Leeds won 1-0.

He stopped an almost certain goal for Helder Costa in injury time.

Leeds will have a new stopper to beat tonight.

Here are the best reactions to his absence...
